Haybrake
Stud
Haybrake Shetland pony stud
was established in 1966 on the Orkney island of Hoy as a hobby
by my mother Val Irvine. Mum did well in the show ring
any time out.
The Haybrake stud was moved
down to Aberdeenshire in the early 80's and is now based at
Rothienorman, Aberdeenshire.
I took over
the stud in 2003 from Mum. I have spent the last few years trying
to get the breeding numbers up, now that I have been successful
I have started showing in the last few years.
Ore Stud
Ore Stud is owned by Miss Cecily Payne who lives in East Sussex.
She bought her first mare, Gletness Beth in 1967.
Cecily is a good freind of mine and used to holiday with
mum in Orkney, so she bought a pony to have up there.
Her ponies have always run with the Haybrake herd, and I show
them along side my own when I can.
